Gorton and Denton

Today's the day. Anyone's guess what will happen, I wouldn't want to call it but if I were a betting man, I'd have a small flutter on Reform.

Anyone’s guess as you say. But with the overwhelming support of a pliable supportive uk press Nige will probably edge it by a few votes.

the bookies have the greens as favourites - 4/7 with Reform 10/3, Labour 5/1 and tories 600/1

I have my fingers crossed for reform but the bookies are never far wrong

Have you bet on the favourite for the National. Bookies seem to encourage push the one that is popular or will draw in the punters.

Gorton and Denton is a perfect example of how it doesn't work. Gorton is the inner-city, once a strong working class district, now overrun. As the foreigners were brought in en masse, the natives moved further afield - into Denton and beyond. This process is happening in all our cities. As it occurs there is a short period where the two 'cultures' co-exist, but this always leads to inevitable 'white flight'. That short period of coexistence could be called multiculturalism, but it is an unhappy and always-in-flux multiculturalism.
You're right. We lived in one of those fringe areas. It was majority white when we moved there, there were plenty of muslims there too. I believed what I was taught, that we would all mix and mingle, all would be well in the end. I left earlier for my own reasons, my mum sold later. We were the minority as we left. She didn't sell to white people, so we were part of that white flight.

My mum publicly said her new house was in a "better" area, and it was nearer to her work. She told me privately that she didn't like what was happening around her. Also she moved from a quiet street to a noisy main road, so arguably the new house was in a less pleasant location, as that was the best she could afford in this new more expensive location. But she was willing to make this sacrifice to get out. I'm sure this is very normal for how polite British people deal with this situation. We don't want to be "racist", as we're told that's wrong, so polite excuses are provided.

What's happening is that the white british are now understanding that the more recent arrivals just aren't interested in integration, in fact they don't actually want to mix with us at all. Their religion teaches them that we're trash, so this is the outcome.

I'd hope you'll be right. But I think simple demographics will be against us here. Farage said the other day that it was their 400-odd'th best seat, he's preparing for the reality that Reform would have to swing the vote by an absolutely mammoth degree to win here.

The Muslim vote just defies logic, policies and common sense. This seat is representative of a colony doing its own thing. It's sectarianism, like Northern Ireland in the bad old days - people voting without question for the mob that claims to represent them. Thankfully it doesn't represent what will happen across the entire country in the general election that we'll have in a few years.

Prepare to lose the fight, but we'll win the war in the end.

Obviously. They've heard the mad rhetoric from Gumbynews.
