Mr Holder. Guaranteed to get things going.

Superb! Talking Heads were a group that I could never warm to on record - apart from the unique 'Once In A Lifetime' - but they put on some amazing stage shows.

Yeps; Joe Meek's major hits were Telstar by The Tornadoes; Johnny Remember Me by John Leyton; Just Like Eddie by Heinz and today's clip, Have I The Right by The Honeycombs. This group caused quite a stir at the time as they had a girl drummer (Honey Lantree). It was in all the papers!Fantastic song. Very haunting.
Heinz was the Tornados guitarist and I believe Joe Meek produced this record.

Weird but I was in here this week looking at these, hadnt really bothered with them in the past. Those are Burns guitars by the way. British-made guitars that were all the rage in the early 1969s.

She would have been proud of that, I hope he told her so that she knew,He shot himself and his landlady dead on Feb 3 1967, which was the anniversary of the death of Buddy Holly, who was Meek's idol.

Odd but catchy song from a few years ago. Zoomy chorus. I think the group (CCS) were from South America...

Its never too late,When I was a young child, there was a competition on I think, a rice crispies packet. From memory it was where you had two pictures and you had to spot the differences, the 1st prize was a Burns electric guitar.
Had I won that guitar at such a young age, I would probably have gone on to become a Rock God, but I didn't win.
Its never too late,

playing a musical instrument is 90% in your head. You can tell yourself and convince yourself that you cant play it or it is too complicated, the brick wall is yourself rather than a fact. Anyone can learn to play and it is all to do with muscle memory by repeating through practice. I can play anything on a guitar and I cannot read music at all. I have very basic musical theory. If you have arthritis in your hand try an acoustic with nylon strings to help.I've got a couple of guitars, never really mastered it and arthritis in the fingers doesn't help.

Also some people seem to think that you have to press really hard with your fretting, the pressure you actually need is a very light press literally as placing the fingers is more important than the pressure. Place your fingers correctly and no need for pressing down, electric guitars with steel strings require more pressure. I always get my guitars setup for a light action from a luthier, worth the money and would help you out immensly.I've got a couple of guitars, never really mastered it and arthritis in the fingers doesn't help.
