Morning folks

Planning to embark on a small fencing project ( about 9 metres in length, 4.5m in height ) using closeboard panels with concrete posts and gravel boards. Never done it before, so I'm researching like mad.

Couple of questions on the above: firstly, the garden has a slight incline, so where should I take my level from? Top of the post, top of the fence panel or the gravel board? Or is there another way?

Secondly, what's the best method for keeping the concrete posts upright and plumb whilst adding Postcrete to the post holes? I've seen some stuff about using pieces of wood to hold the post in place, but I'm hoping there's a more reliable method.

Thanks in advance

Is the 4.5m height a typo, I'm assuming so?

Is it this sort of result you're aiming for?

Yes, the 4.5 m thing was a sloppy mistake and thanks for the pic. My slope is far less severe than the above but obviously the principle will be the same.

If you Google something like 'install fencing on slight gradient' you'll find lots of step by steps.

I had my fence replaced last year, not panels though, it's hit & miss style. My garden has a very slight gradient so I asked them to keep the top level all the way across, then they contoured the bottom to follow the gradient. My lowest side is 6 foot, then it increases to around 7.5 foot other side due to gradient.

That’s very useful, thank you.
