This is Octopus Tracker, for tomorrow, Sunday 5th April. It shot up to stupid cost, during the Iran war, tomorrow, it is cheaper per Kwh than I have ever seen it. What's going on?

I was on that tariff a while ago. Saved a few quid for a while then it got expensive. I bailed out a year or so ago, switched to fixed, now on the standard "capped" tariff.

Guess it's not a good time to re-join, must be something weird going on that's probably short-term. I'm guessing that's the result of it being windy over the weekend, so there's a surplus of power. I saw similar one christmas, it was about 1p a unit on Christmas Day one year.

I joined the tariff soon after escaping an enforced session with BG, and moving to Octopus, and remained on it - apart from a month, when I missed the renewal. Yes, it can increase beyond the capped tariff sometimes, but you just have to ride the high costs, with lows. Over a reasonable period of time, I've never failed to make a worthwhile saving, especially if you keep an eye on the days cost, and plan a little ahead, though it isn't essential to stay ahead.

I saw something online about this the other day.

There was a rumour that tesla are joining the UK energy market, so the existing players are trying to secure customers before they do.

I suppose we'll see, in the fullness of time.
