He's not popular anywhere other than with those that enjoy seeing Muslims slaughtered.

Peter Magyar, who is set to end Viktor Orban's 16-year reign after his historic election win earlier this month, announced his intention with a warning to Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu.
Retaining membership means those wanted by the body could be arrested if they enter Hungary.

In the US, where support for Israel was once unchallenged – especially in right-wing circles that purport to espouse Christian values – the desecration of the Christian religious symbol added fuel to the criticism that the Israeli government is facing from some Republicans.

By contrast, before the Hamas-led attack in southern Israel in October 2023 and the ensuing genocidal war waged by Israel in Gaza, 54 percent of Americans sympathised more with Israel and 31 percent with Palestine.

I don't imagine events at the weekend have improved those poll numbers.

The idea is likely to be opposed by a German-led group of countries hoping to assuage any residual guilt over WWII, without realising Israel is a different country since Netanyahoo assumed control.
