FR24, reports the altitude of aircraft, with a resolution to 1 foot. The altitude, is as determined by the aircraft itself, and is thus subject to some errors, due to calibration of the altimeter.

How do you know? What are you checking yourself against?
How do you know one plane wasn't running a bit richer/leaner than the other?
Or one was using Tesco's cheapo fuel and the other Waitrose?
Or the exhaust gases were at different temperatures.
Or something else that you didn't know about?
I reckon it was because one had a load of bullshit in it.

The app, I use it as a game - look a a plane- guess the height - check the app see how good I was and after a while you get very good but when I see the chemtrails I always check the app to see where they originated and the height.
Now you are doing somersaults to try and debunk it.

Atmosphere comes in very clearly demarked layers. I'm guessing you've never flown a plane or heli?
Or seen a temperature inversion? One of the Quite Interesting things wot I lerned so I could teach Environmental Science A.

Yes I understand about demarked layers that change but I have witnessed aircraft go through the same layer with no chemtrails yet one a few short mins later one that gives a trail from horizon to horizon and displays typical chemtrail behaviour.
All you need to do is use the plane tracker apps and pay attention

The boundaries aren't static and you can't see them.
So it's one of the other things I mentioned - or didn't know about; maybe something physical in the engine or a particular setting or fuel composition.
Why does it have to be sinister just cos you don't understand it?
I don't suppose you know how your telly works. Some hum a bit, others are silent. That doesn't mean either is spying on you and broadcasting what you're doing....
