Pan Connector not central

Please please please don't use pushfit waste pipe fittings. They can be a problem just waiting to happen. If you are going to that trouble doing the work then always best to use solvent weld under floors.

If it's 32mm waste then usually no issue to core a hole, with the depth of those joists. You are allowed a hole up to a 1/4 of the depth of the joist, in mm (e.g - 50mm in a 200mm deep joist)
Hey, thanks for helping.

The 1.5" (40mm) waste pipe will all be solvent weld. I assumed it was pushfit pipe as it was pushfit connections into the 4" soil pipe.

The pushfit pipe was quite loose though into there so I went and tried my solvent weld pipe and was much better fit.

So everything is solvent weld, except the 4" connection into the soil stack, and the 2x waste connections into the 4" pipes.

These connections appeared solid originally so hopefully all is well. Can you buy new seals for these or is there a chance they don't fit?

So far iv just cleaned up and applied fresh silicone grease.

You'd need the same manufacturer, if you can get them. Just refit what you have, with some grease, and test them.

Yeah was going to put a bucket of water down the 4" soil to check that one and then a few jugs down the shower waste for the 1.5"

The issue with the ring seal is over time the seals become stuck to the pipe and compress and when they are then disconnected they never quite return to the way they were before, hence why they can then feel a bit looser.

As suggested, a little silicone grease on the seal and see how it feels when re-fitted. As long as it's not rattling about in there and there is resistance when fitting it should be fine once it all settles.

it was pushfit connections into the 4" soil pipe.
They are different - they are called ring seal adapters and are a different beast to the push fit waste fittings. Push fit waste pipe has been known to blow off when blocked and then need plunged. They also don't fair well when being worked on later down the line. Honestly, avoid it like the plague if you can.

Yes - but you do need to get the original make of seal as the fitting though. Cleaning up and lubricating should be ok as long as the seals aren't too far gone.

Yeah I don't like the thought of the push fits undert the floor. Did everything in solvent weld. As I say, was just confused by the ring seal adapters with being push fit. All corrected now.

The seals look like new. Cleaned up all the debris and sawdust from them and re-greased.

Hopefully pass the test!

@denso13 @Madrab

Looks like all has gone well. Will give the solvent weld a little bit to cure and then test.

Well done for doing it properly and adjusting the soil to suit (y)
Just had something in my head niggling at me not to use a flexible pan connector.

Been a pretty slow project this bathroom as I can only work a couple hours a day. Getting there though.

Many thanks to the members here though!
