England council results

I find politics as a whole interesting. It affects us all, we should be engaged with it. I'm not sure when we last had a PM I respected though. Possibly Cameron, at a lot of a push, initially at least. Maggie was OK, Major was boring but professional. Blair seemed OK at first too, for a very short time. His fake quaking voice when mentioning Princess Diana was unbearable.
I believe everyone eligible to vote should, even if picking the party you think is best of a bad bunch.

However, the electorate has become increasingly frustrated with our governing parties over the past 20 years if not longer. Lack of sustained positive delivery across most areas of government.

And it becomes insulting when you watch government ministers and/or MPs saying 'x is doing well, y is doing even better and z has never been so good, that's what we're delivering! when we all know this is factually bullsh1t.

They've all been trying to please everybody, so have actually pleased nobody.

Most people want lower taxes, but don't want cuts. Blair/Brown invented borrow-to-spend as a way of bribing the electorate without any short-term pain, only bottling up all the trouble for the future, the Tories continued with the same tricks, as they'd have been booted out if the public didn't keep getting everything for nothing. That's why we've ended up with a massive public debt that we can't afford to even pay the interest on, never mind ever repay.

We're now approaching crunch time, where we just can't borrow any more. I'm very glad it's happening on Labour's watch, they deserve all the credit for it.

Just heard a voice on the street interview on the radio saying starmer should go because anyone who supports child murder shouldn’t be in office. So those pushing this Palestinian narrative - it seems to have backfired on you and they consider your man to be guilty of it..

Appointment of prime ministers and the role of the King

Prime ministers are appointed based on their ability to command confidence in the House of Commons.

Unless he go's today I think he will announce it after his normal weekly visit to the King tomorrow. Or is that not done as its the Kings speech.

Its all a bit of mess.

Having an opinion and pointing out the obvious, is fine. If it applies to you then so be it.

Seeking out personal information on another poster is not. And demanding political information from another poster is weird.
The Irony of you is unbelievable

Are you still pizzed off about being caught out lying (several times) about serving in the army?

Lie and you will expect to be pulled for it boyo.
No not at all, I have served in the army and you are still pizzed that you couldn't. Poor little weed. I would have hated been rejected by the army but we cant all be heros.

The same army you posted that you'd left five years ago, then a couple of days later you posted that it was four years ago. Then you posted up you served in Iraq then you admitted you lied about that too.

Righto billy. Served my arris.

Yes. that is none of your business trying to extract info out of me. I gave all the proof that made you look silly but you cannot accept anything that is proof, you just like to troll.
