Yeah it’s an air source heat pump. The governments pushing them hard at the min.
So, what's new about them?

effiency, and now hot water, they heat and cool. So, what's new about them?
I knew what you meant. Looks like AI does too.I should have been more clear,, yes they are really coming on in leaps and bounds and can now provide hot water
Not muchSo, what's new about them?

can be in the loft or in a garageI knew what you meant. Looks like AI does too.
They are good, but they can’t do the job a combi boiler does.
Hot water is obviously for a cylinder. Where’s that going in a small house ?
Why now hot water ?effiency, and now hot water, they heat and cool.
In a 2 bed terrace house ?can be in the loft or in a garage

They can now use heat recovery (certain models) which sends the hot air expelled from the house into a coil in the water cylinder to provide hot waterWhy now hot water ?

as you now there are places for everything, gas heating, air con and air to water heat pumps, each has its merrits and not one system fits all.In a 2 bed terrace house ?
Yeah that’s better than a combi boiler with tpi or open therm and
Yeah as I said above. They can now use heat recovery (certain models) which sends the hot air expelled from the house into a coil in the water cylinder to provide hot water
Air source heat pumps are mainly useless. Gas training is £10k, air source heat is free and takes a week….as you now there are places for everything, gas heating, air con and air to water heat pumps, each has its merrits and not one system fits all.

That’s what I’ve said at least twice. You need a tank.Integrated Air-to-Air Systems: Specialized units (such as the Daikin Multi+ solution) combine air cooling and heating with a domestic hot water tank, making it possible to serve all three functions in a single commercial or residential setup
