We looked in to homing a grey hound, we are on our second whippet. Ms Motorbiking wants to get another one and breed with our intact male.
Sight hounds are velcro dogs and they are hard to leave on their own.
The problem you get with ex race grey hounds, is their "training' and the fact that their poor bodies are largely f***ed. They are muzzled to reduce their prey drive, but often have never had treats or toys, so have to learn to be a pet dog from scratch.
They are both incredibly fast and sadly it's common for the stupid buggers to run head on in to things, which can sometimes cause catastrophic injuries. They also have skin like paper so if another dog bites them, they tend to get large injuries and vet bills. They are 60% muscle and low body fat, so they cannot deal with hot or cold weather. You absolutely must not run them when its hot, they are too daft to no better and will get heat stroke very quickly. Below 10 degrees they have to have a coat.
I personally wouldn't have any other dog.

Never been to Korea. But I suspect I may have eaten dog or worse in places like Thailand , Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh. Hong Kong Sri Lanka at a stretch maybe.
