Yes, in the face of death or persecution it's permissible to deny one's faith, according to Islam. The Chrsitian God prefers that they die.

I would far prefer that the Palestinians/Hamas were not motivated to respond to decades of murdering, torturing and imprisoning them, by Israel, with violence.
Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem has been occupied, by Israel, since 1967, despite multiple UN Resolutions to free the Palestinians, return West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem back to the original UN Resolution of 1947.

That's the saddest thing, @fillyboy - some are agents of Darkness, but many of these people are just not intellectually equipped to understand the impact of their own actions. They really just aren't bright enough to take in the bigger picture. Truth and reason barely matter to them as they parade the ignorance which they mistake for virtue.
