Hamas have done evil things, but the Palestinian people, in the main are not Hamas, certainly not the kids.
But Israel are hammering the general population and appear in some cases to have targeted kids, journalists and medics. Remember that story where a surgeon said nobody shoots a child twice by mistake?
I like to think I can have healthy discussion and disagree with folk here and still remain on "speaking" terms, but I may be lambasted for what I say next. I have said it before.
After the second war, everyone was rightly up in arms about what had happened to the Jewish people. And it was, again rightly, said that it must never happen again.
Now, granted the scale is not the same, but it looks to me like the intent is. Israel's goal is to wipe out Hamas, but it seems like the whole Palestinian population is a target.
BTW, I'm not a Jew hater before anyone trots out that well-worn phrase.
I know someone who is Jewish and she told me that what Hamas did was evil, no mistaking it, but what Netanyahu is doing in retaliation is abhorrent.
