What have you been doing today?

"There's one born every minute."

"A fool and his money are easily parted."

You've not seen the tanked up and coked up yahoos scrapping at the races then?

They're charging those prices because they can get away with it, but they're not daft enough to say that to your face.

I prefer to pay more and not having to worry about fights, theft and robberies.
I see it as a price to pay to be surrounded by nice people rather than criminals and riff raffs.

Went to the Taylor’s port place. Had a look around and had a few samples. Bought some to bring home with us.

We then had a McDonalds for lunch. Reason being, in Portugal they have a dedicated gluten free cooking section. This McDonalds was the best looking one I’ve ever been in. Chandeliers and everything.

What’s more, they had a dedicated member outside whose sole job was to keep the pigeons away - a girl with a Harris Hawk! I got talking to her and it was her full time job and it bloody worked - all she did was walk around the area with the hawk on her arm and pigeons were very scarce. Better than shooting, trapping or poisoning I suppose.

Spoons is a cheap as anywhere and I've honestly never seen any trouble in or outside one.

I've seen plenty of trouble in more expensive establishments.

I'd pay double if it meant not having to drink in a northern working mans club.

Where I used to live, it was "The Constitutional Club".

aka The Cons.

Fine for hiring the function room for birthday parties when my kids were toddlers (and the Wye VALLEY HPA was very well kept), but the bit you walked through to get to the function room ......... depressing.

is the most delicious alcoholic beverage i have ever known. So good that I limit myself to only 1 bottle/year at Christmas time just to keep it special.
Probably tastes even better over there.
