Great news, isn't it.

The right wangers are predictably silent on the issue or will just lie and make up their usual waffle or attempt to deflect. As you say, the man that caused the small boats crisis, then had the audacity to proclaim he is the saviour thereof, is no doubt keeping his head low. It's about all the ammunitioin the one trick pony had, as a campaign promise.

Things will look increasingly bleak for the scumbag if those numbers don't start increasing dramatically.

It's interesting. It may be a random blip, time will tell.

Perhaps they're all walking in via Ireland and the ferry instead? It's a lot less risky, much easier too.

I very much doubt that the UK government has completely solved the problem forever by doing nothing.

In summary, went up a lot when labour took office, then dropped back to "normal" levels. As always its the second half of the year that defines it.

It's about 15% down compared to the "norm". RTTM effect shows it's not a 43% drop. When you look at the "Demand" across the EU as a baseline and make a comparison... The Labour fanboys might want to pause opening another socialist bottle of champagne.
