The Navy doesn't have the assets, and nothing could happen without the agreement of the French
Of course it's just the 'same old same old' to divert from the increasing number of investigations into reform bungs...
So the back of the fag packet 'plan' goes straight into the bin!
Rather appropriate given his main competition...
But didn't garbage say that the people of Clacton would decide?

I never saw a better example of the le haussement d'épaules (The Gallic shrug) than in the video where the local plod are interviewed.
Maybe try a trump 100% tariff on all french food products until they stop the boats. I imagine this would upset the Champagne socialist so its a win win.

Just fill a Navy ship with them all and go to France. No discussion or agreement needed. Land at their port and disembark their people back to them.
If they want to make threats, open fire or turn it into a war then that would be their very bad decision.

All they need to do is approach the “small” boat from the Right and block its path/force it to turn around. And if people need rescuing take them to france.
It would be very much in France's interests to take a couple of shiploads back. They'll suffer in the short-term, but eventually they'll stop heading to France to get to the UK and they'll cease to be the route for the world's trash heading to the UK.
If France get a non-lefty president and we get Farage or Lowe then I'm sure they'll work together to restore some basic common sense and security.
