I haven't bought anything yet, but whilst there's not a consensus on here it sounds like bulbs are a safer option.
They are just standard pendants but ceiling about to be reboarded anyway.What size holes do you have in the ceiling?

IIRC the Philips and energiser were something in the order of £3 each and if so; 3 fitting with 3 each made £54.
