Removing a fan from the wall in the utility room - there is a fused spur at waist level that feeds an outlet place high up

I have removed the load wires from fused spur and heat shrunk the ends, (removed fuse)

but what can i do with the top bit ? can i Remove the metal wall box and just leave the unconnected wires inside and hidden under plaster board ?

its the top one I am most interested in this evening, I would like to take the metal box out and just burry the wires so that there is no sign of it - is that allowed ?

Hopefully no one would come along at a futer date and connect the wires back to the fused outlet

I guess that depends on whether you are a moral, upstanding, person, with concern for others and an innate sense of fairness and good behaviour.

Or not.

1) There are no future safety concerns.

2) When asked "Why pss off someone who might want to reuse them? " your reply had nothing to do with safety, it was why not pss off someone who might want to reuse them?

Which tells us what sort of person you are, what your attitude to behaving morally is, what your sense of fairness and good behaviour is.

Personally I'd leave the wires re-usable, fill the backbox with pva stabilised newspaper, cover the screw holes to protect them and plaster over.

What is so bad about leaving a nice clean blanking place in position?

Seems a lot of palaver for little or no gain!
