Nor do I have any problem with you believing what you want to believe.

Simple.

It is not a matter of what I believe, mod 3 stated that you have a few usernames.
Or perhaps mod 3 can deny it for you......

I believe that I also asked M3 to consider whether or not the relevant information was personal and confidential, and whether or not the publication of it would involve the site owner in the making and publishing of a defamatory statement.

I don't see how that can be relevant, since your real name and address or other personally identifiable data are not published.

Could it be defamatory if it was true?

His photo has been published so I could recognise him from that. I believe he lives in Roswell.

Softus, YOU were the one objecting to possible publication of "privileged" information
Are you in favour of publishing confidential information?

You have more than one username on DIYnot. It's not necessary to ask mod 3 anything.
Our opinions seem to differ on this point. It must be the first time ever.

There seem to be a lot of Jack Russell's on this topic. :D

I'm positive he's from Roswell.

Well he's had my post deleted

It's quite strange really as the regs are non-statutory, but if you read inside they say that all electrical installations (apart from specialist installations, off-shore, mines etc) must comply with them.

It's just entrenched arrogance.

Back in 1986 I visited the IEE office, in Stevenage, to purchase a copy of the current regs (at the time, the 15th Edition).

They wouldn't sell me a copy because I wasn't a qualified electrician.
