Seimens RWB7 Timer wired incorrectly

Having probs with this timer, CH only works by control of roomstat making the timer useless.

Had a look at it earlier, I can see the connections to it, as follows;

Live
Neutral
&
a cable connected to '2' and '4', I chased the cables connected to '2' and '4' back, when I found the end of the run they were both connected together in a connection block.

there is nothing connected to '1' and '3'

I don't believe this is correct, can anyone help?

The timer instructions are on their website, and if you tell us what motorised valves etc you have we can point you to an overall connection diagram.

not too sure what motorised valves, all I can tell you its a baxi 105e combi....if thats any help.

From your description this clock is not connected to the boiler as the wires from 2/4 should go to room stat and onto connections 1an2 on boiler terminal strip.. If you have boiler installation instructions there is a picture and wiring diagram

Cheers namsag, i can see the roomstat has 2 terminals connected, yellow to terminal 1 and red to terminal 3, i take it these these terminals need to be linked together.

Only prob is my timer is in the kitchen and the cables from terminal 2/4 are terminated upstairs in the airing cupboard, could I do any damage to my boiler if I connect them the wrong way around?

No they don`t link this is done by internal switching when heat req.. Start from scratch.

This is wiring for heating
Its one big live loop with power being supplied by the boiler
wire out of terminal 1 in boiler goes to terminal 2 on clock out of clock on terminal 4 to terminal 1 of room stat out of terminal 3 of roomstat to terminal 2 of boiler.

Boiler and clock also have LNE which is a seperate circuit to this
