Hey lads can you change the diaphragm on these without removing the diverter valve and water assembly, or do you just have to take the lot out cheers.

ray

yeh.

you can even do it without removing the plate h/e but its more hassle than its worth IMO the plate h/e always leaks after. not removing the diveerter saves bundles of time though

If you got access on the right hand side and a pop riveter you can do it in 15 mins

how do you manage that?

I take the lot out and can do it in about an hour.

I once tried it without taking the diverter out and it took me longer

don't matter which way ya do it, its a tw@t! found the easiest way is jus bite the bullet and remove the calorifier, fill loop etc and reseal the lot.. and u'll still find a leak

i can do it in about 45-50 mins with no distractions or leaking afterwards.

the connection for the diverter is a slidy doofer, someone on here told me that and i tried it a few times but it always leaked and i prefer to change all the phe washers anyway, i found it awkward too as removing the phe gives great access for removing the diaphragm screws.

Takes me about 10 seconds to tell the customer to phone 08457 256 206  They ain't worth the call back, chuck 'em back to Worcester. By the time you add up the diverter, plate, the seal kits, the chewed up plastic bits, etc etc.

Have done it with everythin still in place because someone said it could not be done wont do it again though :x
Agree with gasguru just tell them to phone worcester unless mate or i fittted it....
Think i know where ollski is coming from if you could get some of the chassis off on right hand side it would be a piece of cake

Have heard of others changing these without removing anything else.

I prefer the mothod of removing the filling loop and phe then using a selection of screwdrivers to remove the diaphragm. Still takes an age, something always leaks. :x
