Ongoing radiator mystery - is it the TRV?

I thought the roblem with my radiator was rapped air, but after bleeding it I've foud it's still completely cold. However after some googling I'm now thinking it is the TRV perhaps?
The image below is a bit blurry, but is tha little nob in the centre what's causing the problem? Has it got stuck and needs pulling up?

If so how on eart do I remove this trv? I've tried but can't figure out what I'm mean to unscrew and I'm unsure about using brute force.

Get a big adjustable wrench on the nut and take the plastic top off.

DONT however just pull at the pin, you are indanger of pulling it out and then its messy! ....a bit WD-40 and a bit of tapping and pulling should have it back in operation in no time!

This may soud like a dumb question but when you say nut do you mean the silver bit, or the black bit directly above?

And is there any danger of causing a breakage or leakage?
