hello, can anyone tell me where i can find some half inch copper tee's without shoulders so i can fit it to a pipe that cannot be moved?
thanks

I have seen them used but I dont think they are generally available.

In the trade we use a normal tee with a slip coupling a short distance away to get the same effect. A cheaper part too!

For some reason a tee washing machine connector is usually a slip coupling. I once went to a fault where the two pipes were touching and giving very little output to the branch outlet.

You can drill out a compression version with a holesaw.

Use a round one of these.......... :D

I have annealed and beaten out the stops in an end-feed fitting when I found I needed a slip fitting once or twice.

IIRC I used a 1/2" tommy bar from my socket set as a mandrel.

Depending on the design of the fitting, filing out the stops can can reduce the wall thickness to almost nothing.

FFS .it is called a slip tee and avialable at all good merchants cost a bit more than a normal tee..... be careful and cut right amount of pipe out and line it up properly seen far too many over the years that have left the branch partially blocked. Plumbcentre PTS or travis should have end feed in stock. You wont easily get at diy stores

So what was wrong with Tony's very sensible suggestion that you use a normal tee and a slip straight connector (or two) in series?

DOn't be silly that's much too easy and sensible. We're deperate for something to argue about. Haven't had a good slagging recently...

And besides it my first day back in nearly a month and i am in a mood. And don`t mention vans not starting
Also if its diy that is 3 fittings instead of one so less chance of a leak
