I think you have to be very careful about the sort of advice given out because you don't know who you are giving that advice to

As the guy previously said the thermostat could be gubbed , the HE blocked or the gas pressures are incorrect.

people are being given advice which means that some of those people who would otherwise have to pay someone to fix something do those jobs themselves thus depriving people like us-plumbers/heating engineers/RGIs etc of making a crust from those people.
I 've saved myself a fortune from "free advice" from all over the internet.
