Can there be anything done to restrict the size of pictures that are added to posts? If the pics are too big then the page has to be scrolled to the right making it harder to read the posts.

The Electrics sticky on page 2 is one example. :(

The only thing I can think of is to upload pictures to somewhere where you can show a smaller picture first and click in if you want the bigger picture. Like when you upload pics into the network ;)

I tried to use that the other day, and it wouldn't work.

I resorted to good old photobucket.

I didn't realise that!!!

The initial problem was with the setup, but as far as I was aware it was running ok. At what stage is the problem occurring RF?

It seemed to be uploading, then said something about not being the right file type.

It was a JPEG straight off my camera SD card.

They upload fine to photobucket

Hmm :( I don't suppose you could email me one of the pictures that failed so I can investigate in more detail. Thanks in advance :)

Yep I will do.

It will be tomorrow though, as my camera is in my toolbox at work

Perhaps i can shed some light on that (i have a new torch)

for some reason although it may be a jpg, it will not upload direct, i have to edit all my pictures first which i do in paintshop pro. perhaps they are not jpg's but jpeg's its only a thought.

But like RF Lighting says you can not upload to the DIYnot pictures bit, direct from a camera (and there was another i tried, but that too did not work)

suggestion.

Admin, you must have a digital camera, see if you can do it

Hmm, interesting :? , I'll give it a go.
