gas boiler

What is the distance between a boiler and worktop to kitchen

That depend is the boiler above below the work top?

Also what would help is the model, and manufacturers name, i.e. Baxi, Alpha.

Do you have the Installation and maintenance instructions.

Hi Tim, the boiler is above the worktop, I currently have a leak coming from the boiler and I have been advised that I must remove the worktop to get access to the boiler. The distance between the boiler and the worktop is 1/2 a metre.

The Model is worrcester.

Sherrie.

Most manufacturers require a minimum of about 200 mm between the bottom of the boiler and any obstruction underneath to enable service/repair functions to be carried out!

It can sometimes be done with less than the manufacturer's minimum but that can sometimes take longer!

It all depends on whats wrong and the exact model! Worcester is the make, not the model!

Now you have got that bit sorted please have a look on the front panel where it will have 24CDi or 28i or something like that.

By half a meter do you mean 500mm or about 20 inches?

Without having seen the job its difficult to understend why your bloke wants to remove or have you remove the work top, of course there may be a valid reason , on the other hand it may be that he does not want to do the job and is finding excuses not to do it.

If you can provide the model and also if the drip/leak is constant or intermitant and roughly from the left, or the right, the middle we may be able to come up with a useful suggestion.

By the way is this your regular plumber/heating man, has he been recomended or is it the first time.
