As for a topic from which you've had some posts edited or deleted by moderators, it seems an odd kind of logic to attribute that moderator action to anything I've done, since you appear to have had only 2, yes two, posts deleted, ever, compared to 102 of my posts that have been deleted.

Has it occured to you that possibly the person who has problems with copper/plastic installations / iron pipe / cast Iron / Lead pans could be a non"domestic plumber" and not even qualified to use the world "plumber" after their name?

Yes there is erosion in copper but since 1965 I have seen one case of it and the reason was improper installation (Hazen - Williams formulas work wonders)

Taking out a pipe and installing one in kind does not make a plumber domestic or other wise.

Well, to get back to the original point I tend to use plastic when i am running under floor boards and tail up in copper. I think the poster who said plastic is probably dearer is right but that is only on a materials basis. Real overhead i think is labour and plastic just goes in quicker and usually easier.
