So what cars do you all own then?

An old Allegro with blues and twos, nice 8) FIL used to have one many moons ago.

So what cars do you all own then?

You'd be surprised how much you can get in a Civic. The boot can hold quite a bit, and when you're on your own the seats fold completely flat or the seats lift up in the rear (only really on the 5 dr though). Boot can be quite deep, but there is no spare wheel, and the fuel tank is under the...

Nice motor MW, can't say I've seen it running around Staffs/B'ham as those wheels look quite distinctive. I'm just in a plain old 57 plate Honda Civic diesel these days. Wish I'd kept the old Type R. Crank, I'm reckoning a Punto Turbo.

Avoid points on a driving licence

If your speedo is inaccurate to within 1mph then that almost a bloody miracle, not a design fault.

Avoid points on a driving licence

Yep, same here. Load of rubbish and I guess you'd never get your license back until payment is processed.

    Pizzas

Never heard of that before. What cheese were you using? Try a very mild cheddar. Pizza is mozarella though, totally different tasting. Try it, you might like it ;)

    Pizzas

Chicago Town deep pan pizza is rather good. 2 of them in the Microwave for 3 mins 30 (1000W) perfection.

    taxing a new car?

Why I asked if it's a from a dealer. They usually tax it for you, but they will need your insurance certificate (the original) for that car.

    taxing a new car?

The little slip you take from the old V5, which says you're the keeper until you get the V5 which arrives in your name. Has the current owner got the docs to tax it? You may need that and the MOT certificate if it needs one.

    Paint Smell

What's on the floor? Is it wet anywhere? Sure I've smelt that before with wet underlay, but that's a vague memory at a friend's house when I was a kid.

    Painting/cutting in

Cheers Joe, seems to have worked a treat. It's a very light colour anyway so at least it doesn't stick out like a baboon's rear. Pleased with the result so cheers for the advice, and can't believe it was simple as that. For my next coat or 2, should I water down slightly again or use the...

    Painting/cutting in

Cheers, Joe. I thought as much, but looking around today, the bubbles have disappeared. So I guess they will appear again when I paint (and hopefully) disappear again when the paint dries.

    Painting/cutting in

Hi All, have put 1700 grade lining paper up in my living room, dining room, landing and stair way, and now need to paint. What's the best way to cut in against the ceiling, skirting and edges? I'm going to roller the main part and didn't want to have a noticeable change in pattern from a...
