Looks like a SIAMP B&Q setup - there should be a diaphragm inside A - try replacing that first.
If it's the same as mine (looks identical), try:

Buy the Siamp Diaphragm Washer - fixed it for me..
The display backlight isnt working - it's either the light itself or the inverter which powers it. Either way it wont be cheap to replace the parts if you can find them (unless you can find second hand cheap parts). Given the age I would have to agree that there is no point in pursuing it...
If you're lucky, both memory sticks can be fitted in the same place (underneath the rear cover). If there is only one slot for memory here (as you have), then the other one is usually found under the keyboard - at least on most of the laptops I have seen. Hopefully the keyboard is simple to...
Looks like a cheap ass siamp B&Q toilet - had exactly the same problem whilst the family were over at christmas :(
If you turn the water off you can unscrew the large nut next to where the fine jet of water is coming out from. Inside you should fine a rubber diaphragm with a plastic piece in...
Would recommend running Process Explorer (http://live.sysinternals.com/procexp.exe) - from there you should see Services.exe in the task tree display, along with each svchost process running within that process indented (and coloured pink usually). Find the one that is using the most CPU up &...
hmmmm. just read that you sync at 2.2mbps - seems too high for a marginal signal. Nonetheless, if you could post your line figures off the modem, when connected to the net and if possible when you have lost the connection it would be helpful.
Also, can you post a photo of your microfilters...
Noise on the line increases latter in the day/overnight, which can cause a loss of sync if the signal is marginal - can you access the router admin page(s) and find out the line sync/attenuation/signal to noise ratios? At a guess I would expect you have a connection which is barely supporting...
Well, I have 4 of the cable below, which isn't expensive, and works flawlessly at 1080p (the highest full hd resolution)...

It's cheap & works perfectly, so cant...
cpu-z ( http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php ) will tell you the processor chip package, which should allow you to find a suitable replacement. Although, with pc133 ram its probably better replacing the motherboard etc as well, as already mentioned..
The easiest thing to do would be check that the cables to the hard drive are properly pushed in, then replace the cable if not. Failing that, the most likely explanation is the drive is failing I'm afraid. You could try moving the drive to another power & ide/sata cable if you have any spare in...
