Fixing interlocking Eva foam tiles to wall and ceiling

Thanks for answering. Just to clarify. For sticking tiles to the plywood, or plywood to plasterboard? I assume foam tiles to plywood, as I don't want to cause lots of damage to the plasterboard? If so, can you recommend a particular foam adhesive please?

Fixing interlocking Eva foam tiles to wall and ceiling

Apologies for asking question back on older post. Would 6mm - 8ft x4 ft plywood sheets screwed onto the wall through the plasterboard and into the studs work? Then use something like sticks like sh*t turbo adhesive to stick the foam carpet tiles(like the attached photo) on the ply. This way I...

Fixing interlocking Eva foam tiles to wall and ceiling

Hi all. I'm would like to somehow fix interlocking Eva foam carpet tiles to a plaster board stud wall and ceiling - similar to this: https://softfloor.co.uk/product/ecarpet50-grey-light/ This is for a DIY golf simulator room. It's just a little extra protection if there is the rare glancing...

Ventilation - insulated shed with vapour barrier

Hi I have a shed/ cabin for mini cinema which has be been insulated and polythene vapour barrier installed, following with plasterboard. I am trying to keep a little sound proofing. I know it's difficult due to the type of structure, but still trying to make the best of it. I have posted about...

    Accoustic air vent for shed/cabin.

Great. Thanks for the advice. In the main, it will be only 1 or two people at most. So I will see how it goes and first and see from there.

    Accoustic air vent for shed/cabin.

Hi I'm a little confused as I just had a look at split units. From what I can see you need to have a hole through the wall anyway to connect tubes from the inner unit to outer units, so how is this any different?

    Accoustic air vent for shed/cabin.

Thanks for responding. I havent thought about that before. So it can heat, cool and dehumidify. Seen one for £400. My concern would be the days I'm not using it, is there a risk of mould with no fresh air? So you think the accoustic vent is a big no no regardless?

    Accoustic air vent for shed/cabin.

Hoping for advice/opinions. I have a newly built shed with 70mm studwork which has been filled with rockwool in the walls and celotex in the roof. I plan to add soundbloc plasterboard too soon. Even without the plasterboard I am amazed about how much quieter it is already! So the Rockwool is...

    Shed wall insulation

Thanks for responding. I might have done in hindsight, but as mentioned I already have the materials now and cannot afford to just swap to 70mm celotex. I just needed to know if it would work without causing damage to shed? So not having the airgap goes against everything I have read in...

    Shed wall insulation

kpnuts Hello all. Just after some advice. I am looking to insulate my shed for all year round use. I have looked on various forums and now more confused than ever. The shed was a bespoke prefab made into a number of panels with 70mm deep stud frame, a breather membrane and then 20mm outer...

Insulation roof cabin/shed - air gap?

Thanks. Yes I planned to have an air gap on the walls using small plastic spacers and pushing insulation up against it. Only about 20-25mm gap but better than nothing. Cheers for the reassurance.

Insulation roof cabin/shed - air gap?

The company actually convinced me this was a better option than a log cabin as it already has the structure to insert insulation in to? And that it is much more difficult with a log cabin as need to add framing for insulation after and the issue with expansion and contraction of a log cabin. The...

Insulation roof cabin/shed - air gap?

Thanks Notch7. I will give it a try. Appreciate your time. Nosall- thanks for taking a look. Yes, not the best design. But I assumed they knew what they were doing when I bought from a company that specialises in cabins. And is wasn’t cheap! :( Yes the trusses are solid. So hopefully ok. You...
