    Worktop metal end cap

The side is already covered, the chipboard isnt exposed. So I assume it's good to go with that?

    Worktop metal end cap

In the process of fitting new kitchen (diy job) and was wondering if I need to fit metal end caps on the ends of the 2 sections of worktop that are fitted either side of our freestanding hob and oven? Will the laminate worktop deteriorate over time if it doesnt have? Thanks

    Joint for dishwasher flex

The flex is h05vv-f cable which is the reason I'm asking. Dont want terminal box to not be able to cope with heat of appliance if that will be a factor. Cheers

    Joint for dishwasher flex

Putting my dishwasher back and noticed the flex was crushed, exposing and copper and pretty much cutting it in half. I'm in a rush of time and dont have the tools or crimps to put in a new connection at dishwasher, so is it okay to use a terminal box to rejoin the flex? Would be accessible.

    Down lights guidance

Thanks for the replies. I also saw this, not sure if anyone has used this as a template before (see attached photo). Also whats your preferred method of making sure no joists are within minimum distance? Would you draw template hole of light and use the knocking test for the joists, or make...

    Kitchen wall units in plasterboard

Apologies if it doesnt make sense. I would cut out sections of timber in the link so it would fit over the top of the wooden posts in my wall, then fixing it to these posts. Then I would be able to attach kitchen wall units to this stretch of timber for a solid fixing (if that makes any more...

    Kitchen wall units in plasterboard

Was initially looking to use hollow wall anchors but I've now decided on another way and just wanted to check it seems okay. I thought I'd use a strip of timber instead. So I would get the height of the units, then cut the plasterboard out horizontally (width of timber I would be using). Then...

Thanks very much for your replies, will definitely help me. Taylor cheers for reply. I'm aware of the things you stated. Was more just the basic understanding of making a good finish and spacings etc to get my confidence up if I have to go back sparkying. Not done much domestic so I'm...

    Meter/CU set up

Was inspecting this set up and just wanting to confirm everything is fine as it is (even though it would have to be upgraded under new regs if there was any changes made) I have attached some photos. I have a 60/80A cut off fuse and then 6mm earth and I think16mm main tails which eventually go...
