Can you remove the dpf with the heat shield still on? This would solve my problem if you can, As far as I could see there was two bolts at the back which were holding it onto the engine, but it looks like you need the heat shield off to get to these?? Is there another way I wonder???

Hello, I've been trying to remove the dpf on my focus 2010 1.6tdci to clean it, the 02 sensor at the top comes loose easy but the other two sensors lower down are a different story, as far as I know? these have to be removed so that the heat shield can slide off to give access to the two bolts...

Looks like the brushes were worn down and shorted the circuit board,,, I read its usually the door lock or worn brushes that short the circuit board,,,will the circuit boards work again if I replace the brushes or are they permanently broke now,,,if so can they be fixed cheaply I wonder,,, ???
