    Glass Thickness Measuring Devices.

Can anyone recommend a decent glass thickness measuring device, one that will give overall thickness of double glazed units? I've seen/used the plastic caliper type but really I'm after a decent handheld unit that I can use without having to have the windows open...kind of point and shoot and...

Hi all, Got some Oak architraves that I want to use my Paslode finish nailer to fix, it's an IM65A (the angled brad gun). I also want to join a few skirting mitres with them (screws and pellets to fix skirts though). I'm going to use stainless steel as seen problems in the past with the normal...

    Trim UPVC door frame extender.

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to trim a 15mm UPVC frame extender in depth to 10mm? The extender is on the top of the Upvc frame and trimming would just allow a little clearance. It's not on the sides of the frame or being drilled through obviously. Thanks.

Taking half an inch off door

They are good saws aren't they Norcon :D , I own a TS55 and would replace it tomorrow if I lost it. I don't buy 100% into the Festool hype but some of their products really are superb....especially the plunge saws.

Taking half an inch off door

Circular saw (where available) every time for me. Decent blade and a rub with sandpaper and the finish will be just as good as with a router. I use a guide rail saw but if you don't have access to one a batten to guide a standard circular saw with either some tape on the cut line or a score on...

    Internal Double Doors.

Floor is carpeted with thick carpet/underlay so looks like a threshold will be best really to fasten into. I could just install this over the existing carpet, any thoughts on this or is there any benefit to cutting the narrow strip of carpet out from under where the threshold will sit...

Hi all, I am looking to install a pair of internal double doors between a hall and dining room and just wondering what fastening arrangements some of you have used in the past, the doors will be rebated. Last set I fitted had a conventional set of handles with a rebate kit and one of the...
