Many thanks,
Vijay.
This is probably a very basic problem however still a problem. I want to remove my rads to clean them, and the valve nuts are solid. There pipe work to them is 10mm and the valves have been on there for 30 odd years without being removed at any time. The more pressure i'm applying to try to...
Got a leak on a flat roff, which is the bathroom extension. After cosiderable rain fall the water will trickle through the ceiling rose underneath for anything up to 6 hours, well after the rain has stopped. I've brushed back the stones on the roof and cannot find any holes/cracks/bubbling. The...
Hi,
I need to flush/clean a rad which is connected to 10mm pipes. Its around 25 years and never been cleaned and nowwont heat up properly. Can you advise me if I can clean this myself , or do i need to get a specialist in. If i can clean my self is it just a case of taking the rad off and...
thanks for that. The cistern does empty in one turn of the lever, however its more a case of the flushing water isn't very powerful. any ideas?
thanks.
Can anyone help? Upon flushing the pan the syphonic action is not very energetic, leading to not all the waste getting carried away in one flush. Any ideas? Could there be a blockage within the pan itself. It is a 8 litre low level cistern using a part 3 ball valve.
My brother in law, whose house and bath it is informs me that he intends on keeping the bath, it needs to be taken out for a damp course so no sledge hammering unfortunately. At the moment it won't even budge at all and it needs lifting at least 6 inches vertically to get it clear of the 4 bolts...
Has anyone ever removed a cast iron bath? I've got one that i've disconnected the bolts and pipes but it won't budge. Could there be something else holding this thing in or is it just heavy? Wonder how they got it in there in the first place????
To add to everything in the last week we've got ants. There in the kitchen and lounge. i've no idea where they getting in. I've a standard 3 bed semi. Is there any way to trace how there getting in or any remedy?
The problem is with the base units rather than the wall units, and is from all of then rather than a particualr section of the kitchen. I'm not sure which type of wood it is, but i thnks it's Hygena, standard chipboard type kitchen unit material, I think.
It not from any rodent, it's from each of the units form the actual 'wood' itself. I was hoping there was a sort of treatment on the market that could combat this...
My kitchen units have a horrible stench, orginating from the wood. When i moved in i merely replaced the front panels and used the old carcasses.
I've tried diluted bicarbonate of soda and milton sterilising fluid, but after a day or so the stench returns, its only masked by the pong of the...
this may be a quirk of all or most combi's. I could name you at least 10 housholds where if one hot tap is on then all other drop to delivering very little if not at all flow.
