Well somebody had to say it; we've been losing our boys in these proxy wars with Saudi Arabia-funded nutters while Pakistan does nothing.

If Pakistan decides to send a gunboat, could the be persuaded to park it near Blackpool and shell the dump?

Cameron has gained a lot of respect from me for being so frank and I agree with quite a lot of their ideas for changing the way the country is being run.

Good prime minister IMO. :D

Pakistan didn't start the war, why should they be obliged to join in?

Maybe they didn't start any war, but the truth is, known terrorists live in their country and the authorities do very little to either catch them or keep them in custody when they do.

Terrorists to us who are 5000 miles away. They might not view them in the same way.

Pakistan have been been giving sanctuary to terrorists , for years , thry have very little control over parts of there own country , think the wild west 100 odd years ago , & u would not be far wrong.

The Pakistan military helped to create the Taliban , there economy is a mess , corruption is common place , they have no infrastucture in which to deal with the current flooding , but hey they do have the bomb that cost billions , which should be of comfort to the impoverished millions in the country ?? !! after all why spend the money on health education , & welfare , & the strang e thing is the very same impoverished people took to the streets celebrating & cheering when Pakistan announced that it had the bomb :) D**k H**ds

Perhaps the substanial Pakistani population of the UK will dig deep into their pockets to support the people at home.
It will be interesting to see how much support any appeal gets.

Hopefully the floods might wash away the Taliban - oh sorry, they don't exist in Pakistan do they

^^^
I wonder what the Scottish Guards wear under their Kilts?

While Cameron may be right it isn't governemt aided.
There is a government of the country trying to keep things on an even keel.
The security forces in Pakistan and indeed its own population are the biggest targets of terrorism. Think 7/7 happening on a regular basis

for just an example http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38161205/ns/world_news-south_and_central_asia/

We don't hear of all the terror attacks going on inside Pakistan and if we do we skip past onto the next interesting Wayne Rooney or Christine Bleakley titbit.

So Mr Cameron was wrong to criticise Pakistan because there are people every day trying to combat the terrorists and risking their lives.
Just google Pakistan bombings and you wil find that the Pakistanis themselves are under constant attack by the Taliban along the Afghan border.l

Pakistan is in a catch 22 situation. Currently the might of the west is in Afghanistan trying to quell the Taliban and bring order and democracy to what is basically a medieval feudal/tribal society, the vast majority of who do not have any allegiance to the current, corrupt "democratically elected government.
The people of the USA and Britain are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with a war that looks to have no end in sight, whilst costing increasingly more lives. The respective governments are aware of this and what it might cost them in future elections. Therefore the decision is now made that we will withdraw in 2014/15 and the Afghan forces will take full responsibility for internal security.
Have no doubt that when that happens the Taliban will will move in and take control. The Pakistan government will then have to get along with them as a next door neighbour. You do not burn your bridges.
