Hi

Just upgraded a working Premier 24 system with a 48 Panel to make use of the IP Com, everything works fine with one exception....

The wireless door access 'Texecom Ricochet Impaq Contact-W Wireless Contact' no longer functions on the reed switch sensors (4 of them), on a walk test they are green, red when doors opened. The devices are seen in the Radio config, green and secure in wintex but no matter what settings I've tried it wont work..

Defaulted the Panel and Wxp32 (twice at least), put the Prem 24 back in as a test and they work fine.

Although on the good side the IP Com is great!

Any thought's I know I'm missing something simple (A brain maybe..)

100% yes at least three times.. in between checking all the switches are of on the witreless expanders, upgrading the Firmware to 9.2, defaulting wxp and panel to a base config with just one wireless device on. testing the device on another panel (ok)

The odd thing is I can delete and re-learn them and they appear in the list of devices, if I set the tamper off its recognised, it just the reed switch function I have screwed up somehow...

There are different options on the 48 panel for the zone, but I've set them as the 24 and tried other variants (except the correct one obviously).

If no Joy I am going to replace the Wxp32 next...

keep checking back mate, there are some pretty good texecom enginers on here and no doubt they will help you as soon as they see this, or a quick phone call to texecom tech support?

I may do the decent thing and RTFM first, havn't had to do this for many years, must be getting old...

are they programmed for an area ? as the 24 does not have areas and the 48 does and must be set to an area. just a thought ?

Hi Again

Yes Area A (by default), I have just read some release notes for prior versions of software for the 48 that indicate a switch change on the expander xp 32 that states the recognition of the 2nd circuit from the wirless door contact/shock sensor can be interpreted as a tamper or alarm dependent on position, The later software versions seem to indicate all off... I'm still looking/reading, just thought someone may have come across this beforehand.

hope you dont disapear rob if you get your issues resloved lol, you should stick arround, you wont regret it thats for sure.

Sorted it, Option switch 2&3 on wireless expander needed to be on for the 48 Panel, RTFM won this time!

Happy to stay around guys thanks for trying.

Best regards

Rob

Scuse me butting in, Adrian I can't seem to find where to download the latest Wintex, Maintex etc on the new site. Am logged in as registered installer and have joined the forum to ask where to find them (newest member JohnB ) ;) but i'm still awaiting aproval before I can post.

Am I blind or are they just hiding very well?

I have spent quite a few nights trying to work out why I was having the same problem, even went out and got a new XP-W as the one I was using might have been over 2 years old. So now that problem is solved, trying to work out why the Ricochet Monitor is not responding to this new expander.
