There is still only one Citroen for me, the SM.

Presumably air-suspension is cheaper to maintain than hydropneumatic, and even if the system is leaking then the pump system will just keep topping it up. Different story when you are spraying LHM all over the road

personally i'v enever known a car to do that, and i was worried about that when i bought it too.. but never met a mechanic who's experienced it.

I agree, the Xantia I owned 3 years ago was a great car, I had no problems with hydraulic leaks, only had to change the spheres (ride gone hard). The car was great for towing. I think people have a problem with Citroen's, but it's generally because they don't understand them.

Lowering your car for aesthetic reasons is such a waste of time and money but then I've never understood the whole "Boy Racer" culture. More money than sense. If you want a low car buy a Caterham. This is a classic aesthetic mod problem, done in the name of vanity resulting in the ruining of a perfectly well behaved car. If I'm looking for a second hand car and the owner has even fitted retro fit alloys I avoid like the plague.
