hi guys just a quick update, i finished the roof and it doesn't leak which is a bonus. a photo is attached. thanks for all the advice it was invaluable. i've doing the hanging tiles next and have a quick query on fixing the battens to celcon blocks but ive started a new thread about that and advice appreciated!

cheers guys.

the graduated kick is done with what are called sprockets, it's basically just a wedge of 6x2 that sits on top of each rafter and then as the rafters overhang the building by about 18", boards are layed on top of the rafters at that point and the tiles nailed directly into that without battens.
