They run the wrong way and they also attach to the sides, i dont have the depth for that, they have to attach to the top. If it was a simple as that I wouldnt be here asking for help. They are also not long enough.

You did not provide any dimensions, makes it difficult to help.[ they run whichever way you fix them].

You could just bend rod each end at 90 degrees and drill into top edge to drop the ends into.

I just want to attach the rods to the drawer sides which are 18mm, Im not asking for suggestions of alternatives to the rods really. The depth of the drawer is enough for files but only if the rods are attached on the top, if they are attached to the sides i wont get the files in. And that goes for any system really.

Hmmm, I guess bending the rods would work, Id need longer rods and then need to cut them but another good idea.

Cheers.

The original suggestion of those black cable clips would surely do the job? Pretty neat, and would not be inappropriate. Secure with black screws to minimise visual disruption.

Just with there not being a back on them theres a chance the rods will fall out and into the drawer, if theres backs on them both sides theres no way for them to move. Their will be a bit of weight and a lot of movement and sliding of the files etc. When I looked at those initially though, I just saw the white and missed the fact they are black. Kind of dismissed them instantly on that basis. Maybe a bit of glue inside would keep the steel from moving and wouldnt be visable. Im waiting on a few 3D printing quotes, but they may be a possibility.

The drawer is 620 wide and the rods I have are 600 long, they sit just nicely on the sides of the drawer. The connecting blocks look horrible, would maybe work, the black ones would look better maybe and they are cheap. It would always look like a contrived solution though. Was just hoping for something a bit more slick.

The rail sets linked aren’t wide enough or don’t fix the right way as it can’t run from front to back and nothing can attach to the inside of the sides due to the depth reduction.
