You are not an engineer, you are an installer or serviceman. It is as daft as calling mechanics engineers. I doubt you have ever seen the new Ferroli Modena.

You need to turn off main and drain roof cistern through the bath tap;) OR get a combi
combi is an option but i was worried about the extra pressure causing a leak in the existing heating pipes.
 
Oh yes they can disappoint people who are used to very high flows of hot water from a cylinder full of hot water.......
He wants to get rid of gravity fed tanks. So a mains fed cylinder offers no more than a mains fed high flow combi. Even those off a tank are very limited to combis off a decent mains flow & pressure.

ianmcd, You are not an engineer, you are an installer or serviceman. Engineers are graduates not guys who have picked it up. It is clear you haven't a clue what an engineer is.
