UK growth goes negative...

And still costing the country billions.

Brexit costs UK £600m a week. This would mean that in the 145 weeks since the referendum the total cost to the UK economy is around £87bn. The report by Goldman Sachs says Brexit has cost the UK economy 2.4% of its GDP, based on a comparison with its growth before the 2016 referendum.

Stupid blind quitters. We could have sent it to the NHS instead.

Yes, but Farages income has increased :ROFLMAO:

In Greece unemployment stands at 18.5%, Spain at 13.8%, Italy at 10.2%, France at 9%, Belgium 5.7%. Official UK umemployment stood at 3.7% in April 2019 which makes us one of the most highly employed populations in the EU. These figures are taken directly from the European Commission's "Eurostat" website.

In honesty though, I suspect many of those now classed as employed are actually on temporary rolling contracts, with an agency or in training. For many people their employment confidence is probably at a record low despite actual employment being high. Although we have more people employed than most of the EU, unemployment throughout the EU in general is high so I fail to see the link to Brexit?

As for growth figures, you need to look at a wider period. The scaremongering article in the Independent talks about "paralysis", "shock" and "drops" but fails to talk about drops and spikes in growth through the last 30 years.

My employer (a large one) has recently all but cut investment in our stores. On paper this looks like a huge drop in financial commitment and a decline in activity -- cue inane dropping of the word "Brexit". In reality it means we are preparing to launch a large project currently planned for late this year, the largest in fact for 10 years.

With all these negatives from the Remainers it creates uncertainty. All this will achieve is the foreigners will go home to their own country's to compete with their already high unemployment for jobs. Or then go to other EU country's and compete. What possible good is that for your whinging narrative.

What whinging narrative?

To be fair there's whinging on both sides!

I'll exit this conversation now as it's clear none of us are going to really pick apart and expand on the data put into these newspaper stories...

Remainers were all for the status quo and certainty...

Quitter 'logic' is to blame everyone but themselves when they realise the unicorns were lying ;)

Ellal.. I think the Remainers are lying. But every one is doing it for their own end.

Please point our these lies...

And proof of said lies would be helpful...

Quitter lies are of course easy to show, so maybe you could provide a bit of balance? :)
