Major abdominal surgery sounds serious for somebody of her age, really sad to hear they found cancer after.

I hope she recovers fully, she is after all a mother of young children

the media do not need to do further coverage of this -I really hope they leave the family alone and keep it off the front pages from now on
 
Sad news- especially given that William was already coping with the news his father has cancer.

I hope Kate recovers and there's no further bad news, for her sake and her children.

The NHS will be 3 staff down very soon too

Nobody is immune from this terrible illness. I wish her well. My thoughts go out to William too. Mum and dad split up. Lost his mum at a young age, both his dad and his wife suffering from cancer. Seems to have fallen out big time with his brother. Privileges of royalty - I don’t think he's feeling any of that at the moment.

I don't know. But the BBC, IMO, should have just reported the facts, played the VT of her announcement and left it at that. Instead, they went over all the stuff that had been before, including playing the video of her that a raggy paper had taken.

While I'm whingeing, the video has the paper's name all over it. No advertising on the BBC? But they want to be sensationalist and play the video, so they run it anyway.

They have really gone down in my estimation.

I really hope the Press in all it forms leave 'the Wales's' alone now. They hounded William's mother to her death. In my opinion they, the press, have been doing a similar job for the last few weeks. I don't wish to the same happen to Kate.

Personally I hope she beats it and gets the best treatment available...

Sadly many others will be at the same time lingering on a long waiting list for non private treatment and crossing their fingers that the NHS comes through for them...

Cancer indeed has no respect for who you are, but who you are in terms of position/wealth very often dictates the outcome!
