Hey all. I have a stud wall made using metal framing.
I have taken it down as it was built on top of floor boards that I’m replacing with t&g chipboard.
Given the cost of timber I plan on reusing it when I put the wall up again however I want to put a socket in the wall. I plan on getting an electrician in to do this along with some other electrical work.
I would like to finish the flooring and then erect the metal stud then get the spark to first-fix the new socket before I fit the plasterboard and get a plasterer in to skim.
How do you mount a socket in a metal stud wall? If it was timber I’d simply screw a piece of ply where I want the spark to connect the socket.
Cheers
