Shocking. Who would honestly want to take on this mess?

There is only one way to finish that job and that is to start again with everything new and up to spec. That lot is total DIY cockup gone completely wrong and a fine example of a little learning is dangerous.

I agree. Rip it all out and put it back in to my standard. Than then would quash any arguments if any problems arise after I hand back a finished job.

Obviously you told them how bad it all is and how you have standards to keep and would need to start afresh?

No i haven't. I just sent them a text saying that im not interested in taking the work on.

I would happily take that on TBH, there would be 2 estimates though.

One using the plumbing that isn't accessible as is, with no guarantees if it lets go. Is that a former with shower trap and tiles already in? The 2nd would include all the plumbing to test and ensure it is sound and finish up from there. Doesn't look like there's much wrong with the fittings and fixtures but again there couldn't be any guarantees for that either.

Have they a tiler that's happy to do the finish up or do they want you to do that too?
