Are you ignoring the Report of am earlier enquiry and the comments of the Judge?Hypocrisy and for political reasons. He wasn’t convicted and never should have been in court
The Saville Enquiry report makes it very clear that there were crimes committed.
While there were claims of threats and danger, the official Saville Inquiry concluded that the soldiers on Bloody Sunday were not in danger from the civilians they shot, as the victims were unarmed and not posing a threat. The report found that the paratroopers fired first and that the killings were "unjustified and unjustifiable". Some soldiers claimed they were firing at armed individuals, but this was rejected by the Saville Inquiry.

And the Judge's comments echo that sentiment
In delivering the verdict on Soldier F, Judge Patrick Lynch said members of the Parachute Regiment had shot unarmed civilians as they ran away, adding that those responsible "should hang their head in shame".
