What have you been doing today?

I cut up a massive modern quad freestanding wardrobe unit and took that to the dump today. Too dark and depressing and with it out of the way, the room looks much bigger. I put the matching drawer unit outside with a notice and that has now been taken.

In fact we are getting rid of the beds as well and just leaving two fully decorated and newly carpeted bedrooms. Just been back round to do some filling in advance of painting bedroom 2 tomorrow. I am, and always have been, a very messy worker with regards to DIY. And cars, now I come to think of it lol. Luckily my sister is a clean and tidy freak and when I went back, the whole place had been cleaned, again, and all my tools had been rounded up and laid out neatly on a towel, on the table. Yin and Yan I think I’ll call us. :ROFLMAO:
 
Oh, and I waved goodbye to the Golf today. We've owned it since 2013. Bloody Khan. :evil: It’s gone to finish its days off in ULEZ free High Wycombe.
 
The central heating system, in the caravan, has been behaving rather strangely, so I been investigating that. Turn it up and it seemed to get too hot, turn it down and it became too cold. The heat source, has two elements, offering three power levels, both on, one on, then the two on in series. Plus an automatic speed controlled, blown air system. All temperature controlled, by a stat.

I checked the three heat output element settings, all fine, Blown air system, obviously works OK. Then I began looking for the temperature sensor, which I's looked for before, out of curiosity, trying to understand the system, but still couldn't spot it, or where it plugged into the control unit, on the rear of the heater, in a tight to access cupboard. I finally spotted there were two control boxes, the second at the floor, with the sensor plugged in with an audio type plug - exactly I was seeking.

Tracing the cable along to the actual temperature sensor, I found it, set in the end panel by the door, hidden behind a fire extinguisher, I had fitted years before. I suspect the wild temperature control, was due to the stuff packed in behind, and the extinguisher in front of the sensor. Plan is to move it to somewhere more sensible.
 
It was Mrs Motties last day at work today, I'd finally persuaded her to retire early although she didn’t need too much persuading! As a celebration, I booked a table for us tonight at a nice restaurant. Just before we had to leave, we received a call from our daughter-in-law telling us she was on her way to hospital with our granddaughter as she was round a friends and our granddaughter toddled up to her with an empty 2032 button battery package! Of course, she had to get her to hospital quick in case she had swallowed it. I cancelled the restaurant in case we had to pick up our grandson from her friends but our son came home from work and picked him up. Obviously we couldn’t go out for a celebratory meal, not knowing whether she had swallowed the battery. One X-ray later she was given the all clear but it was too late to rebook the table so we'll have to go another time. Tonight though, we made do with egg 'n' chips!

Blimey
I saw an advert for similar batteries that when they get wet they leave a load of blue dye all over the place. I though it was a brilliant idea because you can instantly see it it has been in the toddlers mouth.
