What is fun?

The term having fun is used extensively, same as the terminology of he or she is fun. Take me as an example, I am fun to be around, people love me because I am fun. Everybody would love to be like me or hang out with me. I am curious though to know what fun actually means and what makes something or someone fun. An interesting topic in my opinion.
