What have you been doing today?

Mottie

Water in the Harrogate and North Yorks area is fairly soft. Whereas water in your area is hard to very hard.

Generally, softer water is nicer tasting and certainly is easier to form suds with when washing. And of course, softer water forms less limescale.

Must be me then. When we moved from East London to Hornchurch in 1990, I has the squits for a few weeks and I put that down to the water.

My niece had a baby today at 12:30, I shall be celebrating with a zero beer or three!

Made a half decent coffee in my new machine this morning. Cleaned out the cat litter tray - we'll be glad to see our daughter and her bloody cats back in her own home, hopefully this weekend. They’ve had the world’s slowest bathroom fitter doing a new bathroom which meant we've had to put up with her and her cats for over three bloody weeks now! Going to resume decorating round my mums house later. That’s gone on far too long and I’m pïssed off with that too now.

I haven't got the same gusto for decorating as I used to.

I can't wait for the lounge to get finished and everything to go back in there. At the moment, there's stuff crammed into the hall, the dining room, the den and the garage, all of which will be sorted before it sets foot back into the lounge, so we weedle out what we really don't want.

The stuff has been there more than a year so it will be lovely to be able to breathe again!
