Starmer could be considered a socialist rather than a communist.
Anyway old style communism has gone out of fashion, along with flared trousers and kipper ties.
The Chinese have the right idea, they have gone from old school commies to Market socialists.
Communism kept them poor but Market socialism has lifted 100's of millions of Chinese out of poverty.

All the same thing. When I use the term 'Communist' I include all those things. The differences between them are only superficial.

Old style communism has shown to be a failure economically and socially.
Market socialism of the Chinese variety has shown to be a huge success in improving the quality of life for millions of Chinese.
Western style Capitalism is very good at generating wealth but there is nothing in the rules that says that, the wealth generated has to be shared fairly.
That is why you need a socialist government to make sure that those who benefit most from Capitalism share their wealth fairly.
