Toilet waste pipe to ground break

I'm taking out the the concrete patio and cracked the clay waste pipe to cast iron downpipe connection. Please see the photo.

What's the permanent fix for this?

The clay pipe is encased in concrete below ground, not sure how far down the concrete goes below ground, but the pipes go down about a metre or so.

You need to investigate and determine the state of it in the ground and decide how much you want to replace.
You can use a UPVC Soil to Clay adapter which will fit inside the iron pipe.

Plug the hole with an old towel.

Looks like the (damaged) female end of a salt glaze pipe to me, connected under the SVP.
 
Clay pipe connectors are concreted in, could be a long weekend :oops:

Make a v with a disk cutter and use a lump hammer and chisel in the v point.

Mate was a fencer and that's how he bust concrete in posts easily.

Cheap SDS with a chisel fitted works well
