THAT T Shirt

What treatment would I get for not breaking any UK laws?
The only similarity between you and Zac Polanski is that you are both raving nut jobs, you wouldnt get the same treatment as him.

I doubt that Nigel ever expected the police to actually take any action, he was aiming to prove that they wouldn't bother, so he'll now get to rant about the lack of action from them. All gone to plan really.

I agree with the police that it was misguided but wasn't serious enough. But neither was Lucy Connolly's post, but the police and CPS were right behind prosecuting her, then the state solicitor persuaded her to plead guilty. All after the man at the very top, Sir Kier, had pronounced that everyone who disagreed with him would be given the harshest treatment and refused bail. I really hope that this situation was a freak occurence, rather than a taste of what's to come under the new leadership of the country.

He was gifted this one...

Which is just as well as currently he's bin laden...

Agree that it was a mistake to 'like', but the original sentiment was wrong...

You can't take that image 'out of context' however you look at it!

Had it been an image of farage in the Tower of London then no problem :)

I disagree.

A woman who admitted inciting racial hatred after using social media to post about setting fire to hotels housing asylum seekers following the Southport stabbings has been jailed for two years and seven months.

Lucy Connolly, 41, posted on X, formerly Twitter, just hours after the killings, having encountered false information online which said the killer had been a Muslim asylum seeker who had come to the country on a boat.

In her now deleted X post from 29 July, she called for mass deportation and to set fire to hotels housing immigrants. She added: “If that makes me racist, so be it.”

Ok lets compare:

"mass deportation and to set fire to hotels housing immigrants"
"We need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all"

One is a direct call one is indirect? One(indirect call) ended up with a sentence and prison, one(direct) was dropped with no further action. Can you guess if it was the LW or RW offender who ended up inside.

It's been debated to death here and elsewhere, but it's fair to say that there is huge disagreement, and the situation was very unusual. I didn't mean to distract from the subject, just making a comparison with another case in which it was only related to "hurty words", but with a very different outcome.

I think it's fair to say that those who agree or disagree with the connolly outcome split very neatly along political lines, so the debate is more political than legal, and says a lot about just how polarised and tribal politics and civilisation has now become. I'd suggest because the hard-left has become a cult religion with zero tolerance of dissenters.

I think you'll find that the issue is with the originator as opposed to someone who 'likes' another person's post...

Regardless of whatever political angle they are coming from!

He has responsibility, as a party leader, not to endorse something that is essentially a murder threat. He has followers, who are known to be stupid, easily led and volatile. E.g. driving 500 miles to smash someone's head in with a hammer just because they don't agree with you.
